How We Serve
Founded in 1920, and operating continuously since 1938, the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps provides its members the opportunity to perform at the highest level of the marching arts. With an emphasis on character, teamwork, and performance development, members leave the organization empowered to take on the challenges of the modern world.
Founded in 2008, Black Star Drum Line provides an opportunity for creative expression through the percussive arts to K-12 youth in and around Madison, Wisconsin. Black Star focuses on diverse, low-income communities, creating a safe environment for students to reach their full potential.
Founded in 2015, Forward Leadership offers leadership training coursework and live events with a focus towards performing arts organizations. The program is built from the leadership principles of the Madison Scouts, guided by the philosophy of servant leadership, and grounded in the notion that every person should play a role in organizational leadership.
Founded in 2020, MadU is a virtual marching arts educational program where performers, designers, and performing arts educators have the opportunity to develop their skills. Designed and taught by the Madison Scouts faculty, MadU provides students with a variety of educational content modules to traverse in a group setting or in a self-directed manner.
