A Letter to the Madison Scouts Association

Hello MDBCA,I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to those of you I do not yet know. My involvement with the Madison Scouts organization began in 1989 as a member of the Madison Junior Scouts. After my first performance at Sun Prairie, I knew I would stay involved for many years to come. Nineteen years later I find myself still indebted to the organization for the values, philosophy and skills that have helped me in every aspect of my life. It is my intent to utilize what I know to maintain an environment that remains positive, educational and developmental for everyone involved. The plan for the 2008 season is to regain the momentum established during 2007. While we can all agree there were numerous positive aspects of last year, we also recognize areas that require significant growth. I can assure you that the board of directors, along with the administrative staff, is making every effort to make improvements. We are already hard at work to effect the necessary changes that will ensure an even more positive experience for everyone involved. I have every confidence that we can build on the direction and successes of last year as we continue our progress through the 2008 season.Last year marked a key step in reconnecting the Association and the organization. My sincere hope is to continue to develop this vital relationship through open communication and enhanced avenues for involvement. As you know, the Madison Scouts Association consists of thousands of individuals spread across the country and the world, each touched by a unique experience. I would ask each of you to stay connected through whatever capacity your life allows, and continue to show your generous support. The 2008 season promises to be another step forward for the organization; I am sure you all share my excitement and confidence. Should you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, your input is always valued.May You Never Walk Alone,Dann Petersen
