Chris Komnick, executive director, and James Mason, artistic director of the Madison Scouts, are pleased to announce Jonathan Vanderkolff as visual designer. Mr. Vanderkolff was the visual designer of the 1993 Star of Indiana and most recently won the 2009 WGI championship with the Santa Clara Vanguard independent world color guard. Jonathan, along with the choreography team from Mason Entertainment Group (M.E.G.), won an Emmy award for the PBS broadcast of Blast! and was nominated for a 2001 Tony Award in choreography.
Jonathan has been the stage director, composer and choreographer for the Emerald Marquis winter color guard, Northview High School, and several other pageantry award winning organizations throughout the world. Jonathan graduated with an honors degree in music theory and composition from the New England Conservatory in Boston.
Jonathan is one of the original M.E.G. creative team members and the Scouts are honored to welcome him into their organization.
