The Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to be returning to the Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) for a performance on Friday, June 26th at 1:00p CT in Madison, Wisconsin. Known to many Scouts' alumni as Central Colony, the CWC concert has always been a special opportunity for the corps to give back to the community and share their talents with those less fortunate.
The Central Wisconsin Center supports people with developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential by enhancing human development, health, environment and quality of life."We are proud to re-establish a long standing tradition of performing for the residents of the Central Wisconsin Center," said Corps Director Dann Petersen. "It gives the members an opportunity to appreciate their own circumstance and allows us to share our gift of music with people who won't otherwise see us perform.""Both Dann and I performed at the Central Colony when we marched in the 80's and 90's," said Chris Komnick, executive director. "It was important for us to get this concert back on our summer schedule. It also provides an invaluable life lesson for our members."The Madison Scouts return to the Madison area this weekend with the CWC concert, photos at the Capital and Madisonic on Friday. Saturday they travel to Naperville for a show, but return Sunday for the 57th annual Drums on Parade. The corps will be rehearsing Sunday at Middleton H.S., the show site, and will make a "guest" appearance at the Pre-Show Tailgate.VISIT THE DRUMS ON PARADE WEB SITEVISIT THE MADISONIC WEB SITELEARN MORE ABOUT THE CENTRAL WISCONSIN CENTER
