The Madison Scouts ended their 2010 season with a 10th place finish at the DCI World Championships on Saturday, August 14th. Donning the white neckerchiefs of yesteryear and being announced as the "Madison Explorer Scouts", the corps paid tribute to those alumni who marched before them. The corps was clearly a crowd favorite, receiving several standing ovations throughout the show.
The evening was highlighted by two other significant awards. At the start of the show, Corps Director Dann Petersen was announced as the winner of the "Dr. Bernard Baggs Award for Outstanding Leadership" given to the World Class Director of the Year. At the retreat ceremony, drum major John Lee was awarded the "Jim Jones Leadership Award".The corps also recognized 39 men who aged-out at the conclusion of their Finals performance.
