Madisosonic - June 20, 2008, 7:30 p.m.The Madison Scouts are pleased to present Madisonic, a pageantry of marching music groups from the Madison area and nearby communities. Two of Madison’s own drum & bugle corps, the Madison Scouts and Capital Sound, combine with four of the top
area high school marching bands as a kick-off to their summer seasons. This non-judged event will provide each of these units an opportunity to perform a full dress performance in front of an enthusiastic audience!Visit the Madisonic web site.Skills Clinic: 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.The day begins at 3p when the Madison Scouts, one of Drum Corps International’s premier units, conducts a hands-on clinic for all young musicians interested in the marching arts. The Madison Scouts world-class instructional staff will be teaching you firsthand how to develop your skills to the next level. Drummers, horn players (yes, woodwinds too), and color guard members will have an opportunity to learn and perform exercises alongside the Madison Scouts.The clinic is open to all high school marching band students and color guard members.
