Ken Karlin returns to the Madison Scouts visual staff for a second season as both drill writer and caption supervisor. Ken has been a member of the Blue Devils’ visual staff for over ten years and works with James Logan High School. “We are excited to have Ken return in a greater capacity,” said Corps Director Dann Petersen. “Along with unprecedented experience, Ken is a great teacher of teachers and will help develop the rest of the visual staff.”New to the team is Caption Head Neil Adkison. Neil has worked with Blue Devils B, the Santa Clara Vanguard and most recently with Carolina Crown. “Ken and Neil have worked side by side to assemble a visual staff with different experiences but identical values,” said Petersen. “This staff has all the tools to produce a highly competitive marching corps.”Also on the staff is Chad Armbruster, who returns for his second year. Chad is the band director at Champlin Park High School in Champlin Park, Minnesota. Daphne Adkison will specialize in movement which will play an integral part in the Scouts’ 2009 production. Other staff members include Tim Darbone, Sean Moran, Eric V. Salas and Eric Suedmeyer.
