Madison Corps Alumni & Booster Program

The Madison Scouts are pleased to announced their revamped alumni & booster program titled Madison Corps.

Madison Corps Alumni & Booster Program

The alumni and booster program of the Madison Scouts has been integral source of financial support for the corps for most of its history. Recently, however, the program needed to be revitalized and adjusted in order to more effectively develop the unique relationship the corps has with its alumni and fans. In addition, the program needed to be shifted into an annualized program to realistically align with the financial needs of the organization. The basics of the program are as follows:Program term runs from November 1st through October 31st - this reflects the fiscal year of the corps. It also provides an opportunity for the corps to renew membership in the fall time period, a time when incoming cash flow reduces considerably and places financial challenges on the corps. Anybody can join at any time, but all memberships will expire on October 31st. Automatic notifications will then be initiated to seek renewals for the next year.Revised giving levels - entry level alumni dues start at $70 and booster dues start at $100. There are additional giving levels called Commitment ($250), Performance ($500) and Brotherhood ($1000). Each giving level will provide additional values and recognition to the donor. It was imperative that we develop incentives that do not place additional financial burdens on the corps. The premium giving levels offer values that we feel will be attractive to the donors because they are fans of the Scouts.Renewed commitment - the Madison Scouts have a strong and dedicated group of alumni. Unfortunately, that has not always translated into financial support. More often than not we hear from alumni who say they haven't been contacted or don't really know about the alumni/booster giving programs. We believe we have fixed those problems. In turn, we ask that you make a commitment to participate in the Madison Corps program each and every year moving forward.

Brotherhood

We have an active list of alumni and boosters that totals about 3000 names. If we were able to get everyone to participate in the program at just the entry level, the corps would be able to generate about one third of its operating income on an annualized basis. That's aggressive, but we feel that the value that this organization has developed over the past 70 years and the principles taught to our members are worth preserving and certainly worthy of your participation through a nominal investment. As an added incentive, all new members to the 2008 Madison Corps program will receive a handsomely crafted lapel pin featuring the timeless visual of the fleur and the text "Madison Corps". For 70 years the Madison Scouts have been known as Madison Corps and members have proudly worn these words and the fleur on their corps jackets since the 1940s. You can preserve and build on that history through your financial support, year after year. In addition, you will also receive a promo code that enables you do download an incredible vocal performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone" as sung by the men of the Madison Scouts. If you have made a donation of $50 or more between November 1, 2007 and today, you will be automatically enrolled into the the program. We expect to make the lapel pins available before the start of the season so you can wear them when you see the corps this summer. In addition, as a member of the Madison Corps, you will always be notified of the latest news via email; including a pre-public announcement of the 2008 Show and summer tour schedule.I invite you to join the 2008 Madison Corps program and support the valuable mission of the Madison Scouts organization. Joining is as simple as going to Madison Gear, our online store or calling the corps office at (608) 237-8774.Thank You and May You Never Walk Alone.Jeff SpanosExecutive Director
