Joshua Payton Elected Board Chair of Forward Performing Arts

“The opportunity to serve the Forward Performing Arts organization is an honor of a lifetime. Being a member of the Madison Scouts played an integral part in shaping and transforming the trajectory of my life," said Josh Payton. "I look forward to working with the board, the immensely talented staff, and the Alumni Association in order to positively impact the marching arts in Madison, the state of Wisconsin, and the drum corps activity.”

Joshua Payton is currently the Director of Business Development and General Counsel for Celebrity Attractions, an event production company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Josh also owns his own law firm where he represents clients in real estate and redevelopment projects, estate planning, family law and has started a legal clinic with the Oklahoma Equality Center to address LGBTQ+ legal challenges. Josh holds a B.S. in Socio-Political Communication from Missouri State University and a J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law.

At the most recent Annual Meeting the following directors were elected to a three-year term on the board, including Michael Bender, Carmen Crook, Christine D'Angelo, Drew Hadley, Susan McKay, and Joshua Payton. Christin Gates Calloway was also appointed to an additional year-long term.
