Chocolaterie Stam, headquartered in Des Moines with stores located in Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Ohio and North Carolina, announces the Grand Opening of their new Greenway Station store in Middleton Wisconsin on Saturday, October 16th. The Store is intended to provide great European Chocolate for the community and a funding source for The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.As part Grand Opening celebration a 5K Halloween Hot Chocolate Race is being held beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16th at Greenway Station with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Madison Scouts!
Registration is $10 for children through Oct. 14; $32 for adults through Oct. 1; and $37 for adults after that date. It also is a way to spend a day focusing on good health, according to Ton Stam, President of Chocolaterie Stam’s. Mr. Stam is a former Madison Scout and Scout Board member now residing in Des Moines.The first 1,000 to register will receive a chocolate-themed fleece vest and matching fleece hat with the Stam logo. All registrants will receive a “treat” from Chocolaterie Stam and a cup of Stam’s hot chocolate at the end of the race.
