Oscar Ortiz is an international marching band and drum corps choreographer based in South Texas. He is the brass choreographer for the Madison Scouts and has worked with award-winning programs across the U.S. and Latin America since 2010. His influence spans high school, collegiate, and independent ensembles, including Rivera HS (TX), Mountain Ridge HS (AZ), and The University of Texas at El Paso Marching Band.
A passionate advocate for expanding marching arts education, Oscar collaborates with Impulso Marching Latin America to bring clinics and training opportunities to Mexico. His performance career includes Memphis Sound, Blue Knights, The Academy, and the 2013 DCI Champion Carolina Crown, as well as international tours with The Blue Devils International Corps. He has also performed in Busch Gardens productions and appeared in Disney+ and Apple TV films.
Oscar continues to refine his artistry through dance training at Broadway Dance Center and performs as a euphonium player with the McAllen Wind Ensemble. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from UTEP and is a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha.
