Kellen Beaty is from Normal, IL and is a passionate performer and educator in the colorguard community. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Technology and is currently pursuing his Master of Education in Instructional Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
He began his career in the marching arts at Normal Community West High School in 2016, participating in both marching band and indoor guard. His performance experience includes Madison Scouts (2020-2023), Allegiance Winterguard (2022), and La Voûte Performance Ensemble (2025).
Kellen was the guard director for the Normal Combined Marching Band and Winter Guard (2021-2025) and returned to the Madison Scouts in 2024 as an intern on their color guard staff. He is excited to continue working in the world of the performing arts.
