Visual Designer & Drill Writer

Hunter Dugie is an Austin-based artist, visual designer, and educator with extensive variety of experience across the pageantry arts. His drum corps journey began with The Cavaliers, where he marched for five years and aged out as Drum Major.

As a versatile designer and educator, Dugie has worked with numerous World Class organizations, including The Cavaliers, Vandegrift High School, Atlanta CV, Pacific Crest, The Guardians, and many ensembles across the United States and abroad. His international experience includes working with ensembles in Japan, Colombia, Taiwan, and Mexico, providing him with a unique understanding of movement, staging, visual storytelling, and the development of performers across a variety of cultures and traditions.

As a designer, Dugie focuses on creating productions that are intentional, intellectually engaging, and emotionally connected to both the performers and the story being told. He believes the strongest visual productions are rooted in the connection between the ideas of a production and the people performing it.

Dugie is ecstatic to join the Madison Scouts and looks forward to contributing to the organization’s continued artistic growth and legacy.
