Garrett Lind is a middle school band director from Columbus, Ohio. He started his teaching career at Bishop Watterson High School when he began teaching percussion in 2014. Garrett graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Otterbein University where he spent four years studying under Dr. Michael Yonchak and Dr. Jack Jenny. Since then, he has taught many schools around Columbus including Westland, Grove City, Central Crossing, and Bishop Watterson.
He currently teaches middle school band in Dublin City Schools where he has been teaching for five years. In addition to teaching middle and high school music, Garrett marched PIW with Cap City Percussion from 2016 through 2018. He returned to Cap City after his age out and taught the front ensemble for 7 years. During that time he also served as the Director and Program Manager of Cap City 2.
Garrett joined the Madison Scouts staff in 2023, and has served in a leadership capacity since 2024.
