Front Ensemble Instructor

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ellie Mehr is an active percussion educator in the Twin Citiesarea and beyond. She is currently the Front Ensemble Coordinator for Irondale High School inNew Brighton, Minnesota and works as a Front Ensemble Instructor for Minnesota Brass Indoorand the Madison Scouts. Ellie values her students' experiences and she strives to facilitate opportunities that help them grow, both musicially and as individuals, as she teaches.

In addition to teaching, Ellie gained experience as a member of River City Rhythm Indoor (2015,2016) Minnesota Brass Indoor (2017, 2018), and the Boston Crusaders (2016). In 2018, Elliegraduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and she currently works as a Board Certified Music Therapist, working primarily with individuals with disabilities and preschool music students. Ellie is also a member of the Minnesota Percussion Association Board of Directors and she was recently named the 2021 Minnesota Percussion Association Instructor of the Year.
