Front Ensemble Instructor

Ellie Mehr is an active marching arts educator from Minneapolis, MN. Serving the Twin Cities area and beyond, she is passionate about facilitating positive experiences that encourage both musical and personal growth.

Ellie currently serves as the Co-Director and Front Ensemble Coordinator for the Irondale Marching Knights, including the 2023 WGI PSA Champion Drumline. She is also a Front Ensemble Instructor for the Madison Scouts and a Front Ensemble Consultant for ConneXus. 

In addition to her extensive experience as an educator, Ellie also performed with several marching ensembles including River City Rhythm Indoor, Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps, Minnesota Brass Indoor and the Boston Crusaders. 

Ellie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. She currently works as a Board Certified Music Therapist assisting individuals of all ages and abilities in individual, group and early childhood settings. Additionally, Ellie serves as Secretary of the Minnesota Percussion Association Board of Directors and was recognized as the Minnesota Percussion Association Instructor of the Year in 2021.
