Carmen was appointed to the FPA Board during Fiscal Year 2019. As the Human Resources Director at Standard Imaging, she was immediately able to apply her skills to the benefit of the organization through oversight on policy development, by risk management of legal compliance, and by shaping the faculty intake process. Growing up in the music community, Carmen has been a fan of DCI for most of her life, she has supported Drums on Parade as a volunteer both in planning and execution. She is currently part of an ad hoc development committee researching the potential for gaming revenue.
Carmen holds a BA in Human Resources Management from Loras College and a post-graduate Certificate of Mid-Management Development from UW Madison. She also holds Certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is skilled in both development and strategic planning as well as performance management.
