Aaron Stickley is currently the Assistant Director of Bands at Dickinson High School in Dickinson, Texas. His primary responsibilities at Dickinson are to direct the marching band, Concert Band 1, teach beginning brass classes, and teach AP Music Theory among many other things. Before his time at Dickinson, Aaron was the Assistant Director of Bands at Paragould Jr./Sr. High School located in Paragould, AR. During his time at Paragould, the band program was named the 2016 ASBOA Class AAAA State Marching Champion, the 2017 ASBOA All-State Honor Band, and the 2017 National Band Association Blue Ribbon Award Recipient presented at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic.
When Aaron is not teaching, he is an active visual designer and choreographer for band/indoor programs throughout Arkansas and Texas. His drum corps experience includes performing with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps (2012) and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps (2014) on baritone and trumpet. Aaron was also on the brass staff for the Genesis Drum & Bugle Corps (2019) as a low brass instructor.
Aaron currently resides in Houston, TX with his wife, Mariah, two cats, Aria and Hazel, as well as his German shepherd, Lucy. Aaron is thrilled to return to the organization as an instructor after his first time with the corps in 2012 as a performer.
